I found out about the Feldenkrais Method at a friend’s doctor’s appointment. Having chronic spine issues since I was a teenager, I attended her appointment because I was considering changing doctors. Instead of this doctor taking me on as a new patient, he suggested investigating Feldenkrais. He admitted that the only thing he knew about it was that his wife ( whom, as a spine specialist, even he couln’t help!) swore by it. Due to the multitude of medical conditions I suffer from – scoliosis, off-Kilter vertebra, spinal stenosis, herniated discs, plantar fasciitis, previous knee surgeries, etc., I will always have back pain, but the Feldenkrais Method has made the pain more tolerable.
